About Heather Jackson, LPC, NCC

Hello there!

I'm Heather. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) as well as a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida in 2011 and my Master's in Clinical Mental  Health Counseling from the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, Georgia in 2020.

Even before I became a therapist, I always found myself driven to help others. I've worked for Community Service Boards as a caseworker in the past, and I  felt honored  to be able to serve such a vulnerable population in North Georgia.

In my time as a therapist, I've had the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life. I'm grateful to have been able to work with those experiencing all of the complexities, highs, and lows of life.

In the last three years, I've  transitioned to private practice, which allows me to pursue my passion for serving my clients in a more personalized and holistic setting.

My journey is a testament to my commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of those I serve. I believe that my diverse experiences and genuine empathy make me a trusted ally for individuals and families seeking support and guidance on their path to healing.  I bring my authentic self to our sessions and I hope you feel comfortable doing the same.

I live on a farm in Northeast Georgia with my husband. When I'm not working, I am likely spoiling my two dogs and two cats, listening to music (I love everything from Chappell Roan to Noah Kahan to Coheed and Cambria), hiking in the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains where I was born and raised, reading a new fantasy novel, or crafting anything I can.  My favorite hobby is napping. I enjoy sci-fi television like What We Do In the Shadows, Doctor Who, House of the Dragon, and Rings of Power.  I'm a former theater kid, an Animal Crossing Fiend, and a devotee of attending my own personal therapy sessions and continuing education experiences.
